Dr. Michael Umkehrer
Lab Supervisor

Michael Umkehrer was born 1976 in Freising, Germany and studied chemistry at the Technical University of Munich. He earned his Diploma in December 2002 and joined Priaton in February 2003 as PhD student. His PhD-thesis dealt with the development of new multi-component reactions (MCRs) and was performed in a cooperation of Priaton and the Technical University of Munich. After his graduation in October 2004 he worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Priaton with emphasis on the optimization of pharmacological interesting MCRs and the development of new MCRs. Furthermore he was responsible for the liquid chromatography department, including analytical and preparative methods. Since January 2007 he holds additionally the position as lab supervisor.
