Dr. Günther Ross
Head of Chemistry

Günther Ross was born 1969 in Freising, Germany and studied chemistry at the Technical University of Munich. He specialized in organic chemistry and earned his PhD in the group of Prof. Ivar Ugi with a thesis about the stereoselective Ugi four component reaction. He gained experience in medicinal chemistry as a postdoctoral research associate in the group of Prof. Robert Lightowlers and Prof. Douglass Turnbull at the Medical School of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, where he worked on the development of antigenomic agents for mitochondrial gene therapy. Günther Ross joined Priaton in 2003 and was appointed Head of Chemistry in 2004.
